Do all three of you do all three events?

Yes Kelly, All three members must participate as a team in all portitions of the race. Your teammates are required to be within 50 Feet of each other, unless specified in the directions, at all times. Adventure racing is not like any other racing even you have participated in. Sometimes one member of a team is stronger than another at different events. You will find this challenge rewarding as an individual as much as a team.

Ryan… I’ve done 2 races so far this year and want to do the Baton Rouge race, but none of my teammates are available. So if you’re still looking for a teammate let me know.

What is the classification for a moutain bike in the Adv. Race? Does it go by tire size, or gears on the bike? Is there certain specifics?
Thanks for your help.

Hello Clay. Great question. For our races, you can use a hybrid or a mountain bike. No road bikes. Mountain bikes and hybrids have the straight across handlebars and tires from 1″-2.5″ wide. Road bikes have the drop down (curved like a ram’s horns) and super skinny slick tires. Road bikes aren’t allowed because of safety issues. I hope that answers your question. Let me know how else I can help. Dave
